About Fir Tree Rescue Ranch

Jules with Nimrod

Fir Tree Rescue Ranch was founded by Jules Baker-Smith, whose lifelong connection to horses was shaped by growing up around horses. Watching her mother rescue and rehabilitate her own horse instilled a lasting belief that every horse deserves patience, safety and the chance to recover from whatever life has placed in front of them.

That belief grew into the vision for Fir Tree Rescue Ranch – a sanctuary on the Isle of Wight dedicated first and foremost to restoring horses.

The Ranch is being created as a place where horses from all backgrounds can rest, recover and rebuild physically and emotionally, supported by knowledgeable, compassionate care tailored to each individual animal.

Established as a Community Interest Company, Fir Tree Rescue Ranch also aims to support the Island’s wider equine community through practical help and opportunities for local employment and volunteering.
